2nd XV Profiles
After a tremendously successful season as 2nd XV Captain, James "Java Jim" Coldwell has decided to step aside and let one of the younger players take the reins as skipper for season 2008 to 2009. Jim has been a very strong, tenacious but above all, hairy captain and will be difficult to replace. Thanks Jim!

Position: Flanker.
Nickname: Bisto
Ian joined the seconds last year and is a really talented, fiery player. Hasn't been with the Club long enough to realise how bad a job 2nd XV Captain really is! Good Luck Ian, we're all behind you. Miles behind you.

Jimmie Coldwell - 2nds Captain 2007-2008

Position: Flanker
Nickname: Jimbo; Java Jim.
Has the ability to play very average rugby in a number of positions

Andy Milne - Vice Captain of Vice

Position: Stand off.

Nickname: Randy; Toonie.
Famously believed he could fly. Couldn't.

Al Niven - 2ndXV Fixture Secretary

Position: Flanker; Second row; Number 8; Scrum Half; Stand- off.
Nickname: Nobby
Al was captain for a couple of years and really was key to bringing the seconds on to where they are today. He is a utility player, not necessarily comfortable, but very capable, in a variety of positions.
Dave Pool

Position: Number 8
Nickname: Ballons D'Or
Dave is a strong 8 whose running is deceptively slow. He has a great understanding of the off-side rule, but sees it as a challenge rather than a law.

Sam Cramb

Position: Tight head Prop Laddie
Nickname: Yule
Veteran Sam has played rugby for more years than most of us have lived. Great tourist, great scrummager. Ginger hair.
Duncan Murchie - Membership Convenor

Position: Scrum Half
Nickname: Turk
Crocked his hand in Paris last year. Might be on the way to the "Non playing members" page. Oh yeah, and he's a midget.

Peter Flett - Website Administrator

Position: Second Row; Flanker.
Nickname: Crazy Horse
Peter is another veteran who falls into the "miracle he's still playing" category. He has seen more back injuries than most chiropractors. Peter was responsible for starting up the web site for the club. If he's not on the pitch, check the kitchen.

Kevin Ashworth

Position: Hooker; Flanker; Wing; Full back.
Nickname: 118
The teams "Iron Man". Always punches above his weight. (4st 10lbs)

John Pritchard - Sponsorship Convenor

Position: Wing; Full back.
Nickname: Juicy
John is an absolute star for the club. His gift of the gab helps him attract sponsorship from many local businesses and his enthusiasm is endless. He drives an ambulance. He is the only thing in the 2nd XV that resembles an athlete. Can' catch the ball.

Kenneth McNeil

Position: Stand off; Centre; Wing; Full back.
Nickname: Kooman; Glorious Boy; Chewy; Face; Phantom Fotter; McPutt; Ronald; CooCooKaChew.

More famous for his names than his rugby. Can't catch the ball.

Andy Nunn

Position: Centre.
Nickname: Nunny; Stonewall.
Ferocious tackler. Australian. Andy travels a lot (not from Australia) to play for the 2nds. Can't catch the ball.

George Wilson

Position: Stand off; Centre; Full back.
Nickname: Posh

Elder statesman of the side. This is why it takes him 4 minutes to answer the phone. Can't catch the ball.

Ian Myles

Position: Wing

Nickname: Smiley Miley
Super fast.Super keen.Super gloves. Can't catch the ball

Pete Cramb

Position: Hooker

Nickname: El Diablo
Rumour has it Pete smiled during the game against Paisley back in October. 2006. More pads than a Lillet factroy.

Richard Temple

Position: Hooker; Prop

Nickname: Dozy
Goal kicking Props are a rarity at any level of rugby these days. No wonder.

Nic Mayall

Position: Centre

Nickname: Nic

Nic is a deceptively slow runner. Hea has a good head and vision for rugby. Like to only play for a few minutes at a time.

Ian Brisco

Position: Flanker.
Nickname: Bisto
Ian has just joined the seconds this year and is a really talented, fiery player. Don't know him well enough to take the p. Watch this space...............

Craig Davidson

Position: Second Row; Prop
Nickname: Housewife's Choice
"Eye Candy" for the ladies. Craig is a really hardy player and will do anything to continue playing the game. Recently had the snip.

 Pierre Leger

Position: Prop.
Nickname: ABBA
Swear words sound funny when Pierre says them. Will probably get on the 1st XV player profile too. Unfortunately for the 2nds, Pierre is actually quite good at rugby.
