Letter from the President 2010-11 Season

I feel very privileged to have been asked to be President of the club this season. I have been involved with Crieff & Strathearn Rugby Football Club for more than 16 years, playing for many years and serving in various roles from Social Convenor, Membership Convenor, 2nd XV Captain in 2007 and Fabrics Convenor. Luckily the Club has a strong committee team and I will continue to enjoy working with them to promote Crieff & Strathearn RFC.
I am very proud of Crieff & Strathearn RFC and the way it has progressed with the ambitious targets for development of rugby from grassroots level, and the plans to continue with the development of the clubhouse and its facilities. We are a small club but must be the envy of many visiting clubs and their supporters.
Crieff RFC is not just about the 1st XV but all the teams that turn out to represent the club each week at all levels. Whether you are a first teamer or a P4 Braidhawk, you are all valuable members of the club and I wish you all a successful season.
I feel we have an exceptional team of voluntry coaches and helpers, the rugby side supported by local Rugby Development Officer, Peter Cook, commited to their role to develop youth rugby from Microbes level through P4, P5, P6, P7, S1, S2, S3, S4, U18 and wish them well for the coming season.
So finally to our visiting teams and parents of youth players in the 2010-11 season. If it is your first visit to our club, or you are a regular visitor, I hope you have an enjoyable day, see a good game of rugby played in excellent spirit, with rugby being the ultimate winner.
